Spatial Economy College
The College of Spatial Economy is a didactic unit functioning under the agreement the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Environmental Engineering and the Department of Organization and Management. College education in spatial economy faculty takes 4-year Bachelor's studies, ending with engineering degrees. The curriculum is interdisciplinary and is designed to combine the knowledge of the spatial organization of social and economic development and technical knowledge, environmental, economic and social. This program is assigned to the three areas of education: for engineering (architecture and urban planning, surveying and mapping, environmental engineering, construction), natural sciences (geography, environment) and social sciences (economics, management science, sociology).
Spatial Economy graduates have the qualifications necessary for shaping the living environment of people according to their needs, the requirements of civilization, as well as the principles of good planning and sustainable development. With such preparation, they can develop spatial analysis on economic and social needs, as well as participate in the development of local development strategies and programs aimed at increasing the competitiveness of regions, cities and municipalities. They are able to prepare land use plans, and professional analysis of spatial transformation and investment offers. They have counseling skills in the field of real estate and determining the location of the investment. In conjunction with the preparation of documents assessing the state of the natural environment and resources, and to participate in the development of plans for its development and protection. They are prepared for a participation in the development of plans for the development of regions and Euroregions.
Graduates are prepared to work in units of central and local government, urban planning and design studios, development agencies, real estate agencies, consulting firms and other business environment.
