Prerequisites and co-requisites
Back to topThe minimal requirements for admission to the Bachelor's programmes is a secondary school leaving certificate. The admission procedure is based on notes reported in the school leaving certificate. Mathematics, physics or chemistry and foreign language are taken into the consideration.
Educational and professional goals
Back to topThe aim of studies is to prepare widely educated specialists in chemical technology. They are well qualified to work in industry, research, administration and in any institution which demands professionally trained chemists. Chemical technology graduates have a good understanding of mathematics, natural as well as engineering sciences. They know how to use professional chemical and technical literature and computer data bases. They can apply this knowledge to solve practical problems which may arise during their professional development. In particular, they know how to safely obtain and use chemical products. They have basic understanding of sustainable development and waste management. Chemical technology graduates can actively participate in a team work and/or supervise groups working on a particular projects.
Final examination
Back to topThe final examination consists of two parts: the first - presentation of diploma thesis, the second - answering questions devoted to the presented diploma thesis and to the whole study. The final result is expressed in words according to the Rules of Study at the Technical University of Lodz and is the sum of three components: 60% of the weighted average of all the grades achieved during the study, 20 % of the grade for the diploma thesis, 20 % of the grade for the final exam.
Examination and assessment regulations
Back to topCredit for a particular subject is awarded to a student after collecting all partial credits as specified in the course schedule and passing all respective examinations. Credits are awarded and examinations are conveyed according to the Rules for Study at the Technical University of Łódź.
