Back to topThe graduate of Paper and Printing Technology Programme is prepared to work professionally as engineer in paper and printing industries, performing machine maintenance, technological process control, co-operation with service, management of human resources. The graduate can work for industrial plants, laboratories, design and project offices, supply companies, administration or for any other institution seeking papermaking and printing professionals. The graduate is also prepared to run his/her own business (production or services). She or he has mastered the foreign language at level B2 of Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, put together by the Council of Europe, and is familiar with technical language in papermaking and printing. The graduate is prepared to continue the education at 2nd cycle of study.
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Back to topThe secondary school graduation certificate or the equivalent foreign document confirmed by the Polish education authorities is the requirement for the admission to the 1st cycle studies. During the admission procedure, the results in mathematics, physics or chemistry, and foreign language from that certificate are taken into account. The candidate should exhibit science and interdisciplinary skills.
Educational and professional goals
Back to topThe graduate receives the knowledge necessary to work in the field of papermaking and printing. The professional knowledge is complemented by the basics of mathematics, chemistry, mechanics, and computer technology. In addition to technical education, the gradate gains some knowledge in economics, work management, labour law, health and safety-at-work legislation. The practical skills needed at one's job are also developed. Graduate personality, intellectual level, and attitude to life are also positively affected.

Final examination
Back to topThe final examination consists of two parts: the first- presentation of diploma thesis, the second- answering questions devoted to the presented diploma thesis and to the whole study. The final result visible in diploma, is expressed in words according to the Rules of Study at the Technical University of Lodz and is the sum of three components: 60% of the weighted average of all the grades achieved during the study, 20% of the grade for the diploma thesis, 20% of the grade for the final exam.
